Who are we?
Charnwood Young Farmers are a youth organisation based in the heart of the Charnwood Forest in Leicestershire. We meet from September to June every year, on Tuesday evenings. We have a range of meetings from speakers such as Canine partners, to visits to local business and sporting activities. Click here to see this years programme.

Rally & Sports
Each year the county takes part in a rally. The day is full of competitions and events where points are awarded to clubs for their efforts, prizes and awards are given for each competition with a final overall winning club. Along with this their are multiple sporting events throughout the year such as football, rugby, hockey, along with performing arts, singing and public speaking.

Fundraising
National YFC is based around fundraising, where many charities are supported every year through young farmers clubs across the counties, including air ambulance, medical research charities and MIND. Charnwood will run fundraisers throughout the year, this will include funds to keep the club and county running, but mainly money raised is used to donate to our chosen charity each year.

Social
Alongside the competitions and fundraising, we all enjoy a good party! Our main event of the year is Leicestershire and Rutland County Dinner Dance, where we get to celebrate the clubs efforts and achievements throughout the year with our other neighboring clubs. Along with county ran events, we as a club also host our own Dinner Dance among other events, as well as the opportunity to enjoy and attend social events ran by other clubs.

Becoming a member
YOU DON'T NEED TO BE A FARMER TO BE A YOUNG FARMER!! Everyone is welcome to YFC, our members are from a range of back grounds from farmers, students, retail and social workers. If you are aged between 10 and 26, want to fill your Tuesday evening and make new friends then Charnwood YFC is the place for you.

Past Events...
A massive well done to all of our members who attended the county rally this year! We as a club did really well and came 9th overall! Well done!
Charnwood doing what we do best, socialising at Ashby YFC Dinner Dance
Leicestershire county quiz night. We entered 2 teams and finished 9th and 11th. A very enjoyable evening was had by everyone! WELL DONE TO BOTH TEAMS!
Thank you to Sutton Bonnington show for inviting 3 members to join them of there charity evening where £10,000 was handed over to different charities. Charnwood had a stall and manned the sheath tossing at the event - See you next year for the same!
