Car Treasure Hunt

This weeks meeting we did a car treasure hunt, we had four teams and each team had an hour and a half to find and take full group selfies with 16 different object. These objects could be found in Shepshed and further afield. Most groups got nearly all objects however one team lost 5 points as they were 20 minutes over the time limit. Some objects that needed finding were a car parking meter, a sign with an animal on it, a 5 bar gate, a cow and a sign with Charnwood on it. The one object that no team got was a 3 wheeled van! It was very funny and everybody enjoyed it.

County Skittles = 2nd!!!!

Charnwood have for the first time in many years got to the final of the county skittles. This entailed playing 6 other clubs in the heats up to the final and overall doing better than the other clubs in the county during the knock out stages. This was a great achievement for the club. The final on Sunday was very tense and we only just lost the game with our finger tips on the title! Wymeswold gave us a good run for our money and claimed 1st place. Well done to the final team: Sam W, Sam, W, Henry, Liz E, George E, Izzy E, Connor F, and Connor W. Also a big well done to our sports captain Connor W for organising the games and getting a team together.

Well done to our members who won trophies last year. They were given out at our Christmas meal at the Pied Bull in Shepshed, where we had a lovely Christmas meal. Thank you to Jane, our club President for presenting the trophies as always!

Sittles Macth: Charnwood V's Norton and Gaulby

We have had some good players this year for skittles meaning we are doing very well and should be through to the next round! Last week we knocked N&G of there winning streak, we have won 3 and tied on one. WELL DONE team Charnwood! Left to right, Sam, Liz, Isobel, Tim, Henry, Sam, Connor and Connor.

Skittles Match: Charnwood V's Lutterworth

Charnwood were out in force on Thursday evening and were there to WIN! It was our first skittles match of the season against Lutterworth YFC and up too us to host. We used Little Markfield Farm's skittle alley with food provided by the farm as well, it went down a treat! The match was tight but Charnwood won 3/2. WELL DONE to all involved, hopefully more wins for the rest of the games!

Trophy presentation for the quiz

Our newly made event is the Charnwood V's Ashby big fat quiz of the year that will be held annually. The inter club quiz this year was won by us! The new trophy has been engraved and hopefully stays in Charnwood possession next year! Well done Charnwood!

Quorn Hunt Kennels

One of our meeting this year took us back to the Quorn Hunt Kennels where we got to see the hounds and learn about hunting post ban. We were also able to see all the tack that needs to be cleaned and looked after and how the hounds are kept and fed! Thank you to the Quorn Hunt kennels for having us!
